History of the Albert Lodge
|
The Albert Lodge No. 4780 RAOB GLE was opened on the 7th April 1925 and was named after Lord Albert Townsend. It first opened at the Crawford Arms in Wolverton then moved to the Working Men's Club in Stony Stratford. After meeting there for 20 years it then moved on to the Conservative Club in Stony Stratford, 15 years later it uprooted again and on the 7th January 1999 moved to the Queen Victoria in Wolverton. Its stay there was short lived as on the 2nd October 1999 it again moved to the Central Working Men's Club (Top Club) Western Road, Wolverton. After being there for 4 Years owing to the club closing temporary moved to Stantonbury Working Men's Club until the problems where sorted out & then in 2005 moved back to the Top Club. |
